- Cross-Platform Compatibility: WakeUpPc is tailored for both Windows and Mac systems, ensuring compatibility across diverse computing environments.
- Wake-on-LAN Functionality: Enabling users to awaken a Windows computer remotely when it enters sleep or hibernation mode, our program facilitates hassle-free connectivity between two or more computers on the same peer-to-peer network.
- Simple Configuration: With a minimal set of requirements, WakeUpPc streamlines the process of waking up a computer, requiring only an Ethernet connection and a peer-to-peer network.
Configuration Steps: Windows Configuration:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters, choose the Ethernet adapter, and access Properties.
- In Power Management, tick all boxes.
- Navigate to Advanced, select ‘Wake on Magic Packet,’ and click OK.
IP Address – Mac Address:
- Press Win + R, type cmd, and press Enter.
- Execute ‘ipconfig /all’ and save the physical address + IP address for use in the WakeUpPc program.
Bios Configuration:
- Access BIOS Setup by pressing F2 during boot.
- Navigate to the Power menu and set Wake-on-LAN to Power On or enable.
- Save changes by pressing F10.
Recommendation:
- Press Win + X, go to Power Options, and click ‘Choose what the power buttons do.’
- Customize button settings for sleep and save changes.
